ResQ — Overview

We carry out and coordinate globally top-level research in fundamental quantum science and technology.

Our objective is to advice and foster the development of the relevant national infrastructures in the area of quantum technology.

Our research working group builds opportunities for emerging research areas, supports original networking and fosters a national postdoc program.

We nurture a high-level visitor program in quantum technology and arrange every year a scientific symposium with strong emphasis on networking.

OtaNano is a national open access research infrastructure (RI) that provides advanced nanofabrication, nanomicroscopy, and ultra-low temperature measurement facilities for quantum technologies on Otaniemi campus, Espoo.

OtaNano is founded and developed jointly by Aalto University and VTT.

Finnish Quantum Computing Infrastructure (FiQCI) is a new research infrastructure jointly developed by VTT, Aalto University and CSC – IT center for science Ltd.

In coming years, FiQCI will provide quantum computing services, such as computing time and training, to support the planning of the utilization of computing technology in future quantum computers.

Around 120 researchers from Aalto University, University of Helsinki and VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland work together for the joint goals of the national Centre of Excellence; Quantum Technology Finland (QTF), to harness quantum phenomena in solid-state-based quantum devices and applications.
