The second call for the InstituteQ Visiting Chair of Excellence in Quantum Technology is now open. The application period will remain open through January 7, 2024.
This Chair of Excellence position is open to both full-time faculty members and junior-level researchers alike. The position will span from 2024-2026, and will ideally consist of 2-3 long term research and teaching visits at Aalto University, which is the host institution. Cumulatively, the visits should add up to 9-12 months over the duration of the position. The position comes with a €60 000 award that is distributed over the three years.
Suitable candidates are anticipated to strengthen the key scientific areas of InstituteQ while bringing out skills and excellence in emerging areas of interest.
The application should be presented in one single PDF document in English. This document must include:
- Letter of motivation/ application cover sheet
- A two-page proposal for the three-year project describing also:
- Desired schedule of the intended visits
- Plan of collaborations with local PIs
- Considerations of the continuity of the work beyond the period of the chair
- CV including list of publications
