About the roadmap
As part of the execution of the Finnish Quantum Strategy 2025-2035, InstituteQ has invited the Finnish quantum community to participate in the ongoing development of a national Quantum Technology Roadmap.
The three focus areas of the roadmap are quantum computing, communication and sensing.
The roadmap is a living framework that evolves through continuous community engagement.
Key milestones
- Spring 2025: Survey phase initiated to collect expert perspectives on development needs, research questions, key milestones, and enabling factors of QT in Finland
- Fall 2025: First draft of the roadmap was prepared and distributed for feedback solicitation
- December 2025: Quantum Technology Roadmap finalized
- January 2026:
Roadmap introduced to Finnish quantum ecosystem in webinar event
